Luke Orlando is a Director/DP/Photographer. Born in Toronto, raised in Philadelphia, made in Montreal, he now makes movies and takes pictures in LA.

He’s shot dozens of artists including The Weeknd, Grimes, Arcade Fire, and Kendrick Lamar. In addition to the usual throes of music video directing and commercial cinematography, he thrives on ambitious specialty projects that have required him to design and 3D print camera rigs, strap action cams to high-schoolers to capture their everyday lives, and complete a 43-day shoot entirely on an iPhone.

In 2018 he started printing zines that follow both his personal life and the life he shares with his collaborators, they will soon be available in limited quantities on this website.

Overall, Luke’s primary directive is to capture and create work that fosters empathy and catharsis, whether it be through traditional narratives or more abstract spectacle. He is driven by the idea that visual mediums can communicate what cannot be said - and in this way dismantle our anxieties to reveal the human being behind the social being.
